BIOGRAPHY
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Political Science from Simon Fraser University and a law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of British Columbia. Prior to law school Amy was a legal advocate with Prisoners’ Legal Services. While at law school Amy was a research assistant and worked with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and the UBC Criminal Clinic. She received the Alexander J. Cohen Memorial Award from the Dean of the Peter A. Allard School of Law as well as awards for her work in human rights, criminal and constitutional law.
Amy joined Grace, Snowdon & Terepocki LLP as an articled student and continued with the firm as an Associate after being called to the British Columbia Bar in 2017. She has appeared before the British Columbia Provincial Court, Supreme Court of British Columbia, British Columbia Court of Appeal, as well as various administrative boards including the Parole Board of Canada and prison disciplinary hearings at the provincial and federal level.
Amy sits on the Board of Directors of the West Coast Prison Justice Society and is a member of the Canadian Prison Lawyers Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC.
Amy lives with her family in the Fraser Valley. When not practising law, she can be found snowboarding on the mountains, around a campfire, riding her bike around town and hanging out with her dog, Oscar.
